Alpha Group conducts Electronic Countermeasure and Debugging investigations worldwide. These investigations are also known as Electronic Sweeps and Debugging. Alpha Group investigators assigned to the Electronic countermeasure team have been trained at many of the world's best facilities. We utilize state of the art equipment found in the most elite government agencies. Alpha Group conducts Electromagnetic spectrum sweeps that will locate the presence of free space transmissions or radio signals. Carrier current sweeps are also conducted. These sweeps check for very low frequency (VLF) carrier current devices, radiating intercoms and public address systems. All stations will be identified as being legitimate, or as not emanating from the area the area under investigation. An acoustic noise generating system will provide a sound source in areas under investigation. The source will activate voice actuated (VOX) transmitters and will provide a noticeable signal on the spectrum analyzer. All telephones and telephone lines are tested with a Balanced Audio Coupler telephone analyzer. This test will detect abnormal line voltages which would indicate a shunt or parallel type device loading the line. This test will also detect any series type device connected to the line. Each telephone is tested with a sweeping tone of sufficient amplitude to trigger any tone-activated device that could be activated from remote locations. Every combination of wire pairs from each phone are tested for audio. This detects tampering with the phone instrument which allows the microphone to remain active while the phone is on the hook. It also detects rewiring of the instrument so that telephone or room audio would be transmitted on wires other than the normal telephone pair. A high gain audio amplifier is also used to detect and identify certain types of surveillance devices attached to building wiring such as telephone, LAN server systems, AC power, alarm wiring, etc. Alpha Group conducts the most thorough and complete Debugging and Electronic Countermeasure services available to the Corporate and Private client.
